Journal Entry #39 - Back in Michigan

I’m back in Michigan! Feels great right now, weather’s really nice. I’m finally settled back in and am ready to start the investigation back up.

The first place I’ll be checking out is the woods. That’s right, the woods. I’m not going to hide in fear anymore of that secluded hell-hole. I have to see if I can’t find him.

Being in New York and meeting the Mothman led me to another thought. If the Mothman knows who the Slenderman is, does that mean they come from the same place? Have they been roaming the earth, or do they belong to another world? If so, are there other creatures like them? This is definitely something to look into.

I’ve noticed some going’s on’s lately. Keon, Edward’s friend, seems to have been sneaking around lately. He actually asked me (as I was walking about in town) what my name was, and if I knew anything about Edward’s disappearance and where he could be. I told him I was new to the area, and had no idea where this ‘Edward’ was. Thankfully, that was enough for him.

Reading up on the Slenderman a little more, I’ve also noticed something peculiar. I’m not being stalked by him. Let me explain. You see, the more you know about the Slenderman, the faster he comes for you. If you start to know a little too much, you start seeing him. I haven’t seen Slender one time, save for the time I caught him on my mirror. Why doesn’t he show himself to me? Is he possibly fearful that I could stop him? If so, stalking me unto my death would solve his problems.

Is the Mothman in alliance with Slender? Or are they enemies? Does Slender want me to find Kayle? Questions still need to be answered, but every answer leads to multiple questions.

It all leads to one spot…
